Done at your workplace as a set series or ongoing, these classes explore what it means to be present in the here and now and can can vary in length and frequency based on your employee needs from 60, 75 or 90 minutes in length.
This class includes instruction and experiential exercises to practice now and away from the classroom. Incorporating mindfulness into the workplace means people can be more purposeful of their words, interactions, choices and self care which ultimately creates a more productive and harmonious workplace. Happy employees in healthy bodies result in more abundant companies. We start with basic definitions and simple practices which build upon each other to better understand what it means to be mindful such as: noticing our five senses, body sensing, breathing exercises, and ultimately brief sits of meditation.
iRest Yoga Nidra
Sometimes called "Nap Class" and resembling an afternoon siesta, iRest is an evidence based transformative practice of deep relaxation. Done seated or lying down, this led meditation and meditative inquiry releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system, and develops an inner sanctuary of well-being and equanimity that underlies all circumstance one may encounter in their life. Furthermore, the practice ultimately teaches you how to live a contented life, free of conflict, anxiety, fear and suffering by opening your mind and body to their inherent ground of health and wholeness. Research has shown iRest effectively reduces PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, and chemical dependency, as well as increases well-being. It is an adjunctive treatment that has been integrated into veteran settings, homeless shelters, clinics, and healing and meditation centers.
YOGA ASANA & RELAXATION
Done at your workplace as a set series or ongoing, these classes can vary in length and frequency based on your needs from 60, 75 or 90 minutes in length. All classes always include breath awareness and end in savasana, final relaxation pose lying on your back.
Be Relaxed Body
No change in clothing required, this class explores basic movement and breathing exercises to increase self and body awareness creating more confidence, intuition and self soothing skills when stressed and depleted.
Comfortable clothing required, this class includes mild exertion while exploring basic stretches and yoga postures coordinated with intentional breathing.
Athletic clothing required, this class uses simple vinyasa and coordinated breathing to flow from posture to posture which could result in sweating and definitely results in increased confidence, circulation, endurance, strength, and flexibility.
